Glass Curves represent my first transition from 2-D to 3-D, from grid to curve, from opaque to translucent color. The pairing of acid-etched glass with copper, silver, or brass wire plays with oppositions of rigid/flexible, matte/reflective. The work celebrates the human response to color, whether bold contrasts or tone-on-tone shadings that test the edge of visual perception. To me, color is like music, one of the elemental joys of human existence.
